I had a letter from Lambeth charging me for being in a bus lane on the 10th Jan 2020. Photo evidence show I committed the crime therefore I payed on the day (10/01/20) date I got the letter, to avoid the 14 day notice; which is to pay £30 within 14 days or pay £65. Phone the number provided and I was expecting £30 took out of my account. regrettably I just looked at my account today to see they took £60, furthermore I only throw the paperwork away last week. At the time I was very busy with work and I did even think that that I didn’t even get a payment confirmation and my usual thing is to take a screen shot which I didn’t do. I will be phoning the tomorrow and have also informed my bank. I can not believe what extent these people go to just to get extra money.
