I didn't recognize the charge and wanted to confirm it. Please see information below. To Mr. Rose: I understand your interest in learning if this charge is fraudulent, but this is really a place to post warnings to others if you've been scammed by this vendor. The vendor themselves, this OS Marketing Partners, isn't going to follow this site and get back to you, nor will your bank, and they're the only ones who can help in this case. Anyone who goes to this site, like myself, will have no way of knowing if this is regular activity on your account or not. I'd recommend reaching out to your bank ASAP so that you can learn if it's false and get the claims process started because I believe it is very time sensitive. When I ordered steak and wine off of the Omaha Steaks website, the steaks were charged to Omaha Steaks and wine to OS Marketing Partners. Further research shows that Omaha Steaks teams up with Wine.com to offer wine on the Omaha Steak website. For me, this was a valid charge, but discerning, especially when I thought the charge should have been to Omaha Steaks.
I had just completed an order off of the Omaha Steaks website, and was notified by my bank of the charge plus a charge from OS Marketing Partners. Not having been notified that my purchase of the wine I ordered would come from a different vendor— I immediately contacted my bank and reported the charge as fraudulent....therefore cancelling my credit card...as another person noted above “Further research shows that Omaha Steaks teams up with Wine.com to offer wine on the Omaha Steak website....” but I didn’t know that... if during my order process I had been notified that it would be charged from a different vendor then I wouldn’t have thought it was fraudulent!!! As the previous person noted in his comment “discerning, especially when I thought the charge should have been to Omaha Steaks”.... who should fix this Omitted fact on their website and during the order process... it’s too late for me to contact my bank and stop the fraud process..!
Ordered from Omaha Steaks and had additional charge from OS Marketing Partners directly below those charges on my CC. Called 1-800# listed with vendor name on the statement. It does go to Omaha Steaks. They should be more clear about who ships what on their site.
Since Omaha Steaks seems to be unable to control its billings, the only answer is to stop buying Omaha Steaks. I got three scam payment requests already
This is a legitimate charge if you order wine. They partner with the OS Marketing Partners for wine purchases. If you check your charges, it will add up to the total that you paid on the Omaha steak website.
Omaha Steak needs to advise their buyers (during checkout) about this wine buying partnership with the OS Marketing Partners -- and the two separate charges that will appear on their credit card account! **SHAME ON YOU OMAHA STEAKS!!**
